Our world has been a little cray-cray of late, but that doesn't mean your inner world needs to reflect chaos.
Since there's no one approach fits all when it comes to mindfulness and keeping a level head, we decided to ask our Pure Dash team what their go-to app is for all things peace of mind.
Pure Dash's Owner & Boss Babe, Kathy kickstarts her day with 1 Giant Mind. The app's mission is 'teaching the world to meditate'. It supports you to learn to meditate in '12 easy steps' and teaches you the benefits of meditation as you go. Kathy uses the app for 10 minutes first thing in the morning and has been practising this for over 3 years. The result is a noticeably quieter mind and improved (plus more efficient) decision-making process—without having excess thoughts rattling through her mind.
Meet Chloe, our Partnership Manager. She loves the number 1 app for meditation and sleep Calm. Calm encourages you to sleep more, stress less and live better. Who doesn't want that? Having used the app for 2 years, Chloe’s number one benefit is gaining a better night’s sleep and feeling more energised in the morning.
Hannah, our Marketing Intern, loves Down Dog, a yoga app that helps to calm the mind and body while stretching and improving flexibility. The perks of this app are that you can create a unique and personalised yoga experience every time. Only got 8-minutes? No worries. Set your time, level, and session focus. You can even select the app's voice and music. Talk about personalised yoga—anytime; anywhere.
- Netflix
No need for an introduction to this platform; you're no doubt, acquainted. Charlee, our Customer Happiness Expert, loves Netflix for myriad reasons, but one is that there are just some days where 'Netflix and chill' is the prescribed remedy for soothing the soul. Sometimes a good binge sesh is all you need. Charlee's latest binge-sesh was Good Girls for its mix of good laughs and a healthy dose of girl power.
Now, this is a really cool and unique app! Our head Graphic Designer, Klo, uses it—and swears by it. Flowy uses video games that 'aim to teach and promote breathing exercises for immediate relaxation'. Essentially, you're re-wiring your brain and teaching your body to use breath as an anchor amidst the storm. Klo has used Flowy since 2016, and it's supported her to address and improve former challenges with social anxiety and depression in a sustainable way by returning her heart rate and pace of breathing to normal.
We believe the best way to keep calm and conquer your day is to have an app (or few) at your fingertips. Try out our team's fave apps and let us know which you love?
